Introducing xTools Server Edition v1.0
xTools Server Family takes the best parts of Linux and Windows to provide a single environment to host web-sites and applications on Windows™ with the speed and versatility of Linux.
xTools provides system services and utilities to manage and administer xTools Components as well as Windows Components side-by-side. Using xTools Management console setup websites, manage virtual file-systems for users, create and manage backup disk images, backup web configurations from a single management interface.

xTools Server Edition Includes Apache, The popular Linux web server; Also included is Apache::ASP, mod_perl, mod_php, mod_python. These additions allow for complete and seamless integration of web services and scripting languages, Example Implementations are included in the Resource kit, which is delivered exclusively on cd-rom.
Long awaited services such as NFS for Windows and Virtual Disk emulation are also included. Now each user can have his-or-her own virtual partition without risking contamination or accidental over-writes on other user's shared directories. Each Windows Share is automatically exported on NFS, no other configuration is required.
Scripting with xTools has never been easier; xTools now includes tcsh and psh, as well as the upcoming vbsh, exclusive to xTools Basic and Server Editions.
Logging the activity of firewalls and other workstations has been an arduous process in Windows™, however, xTools now includes a powerful syslogd compatible engine that can understand Linux and Windows syslogd requests as well as those from firewalls and other embedded devices. Logs can optionally be sent to a SQL database server, such as the one included in xTools
Printing from Macs or Linux Machines without cups? xTools now includes a Postscript RIP (Raster Image Processor) that can handle incoming Postscript Level 2 files and print them to an attached non-postscript printer.
Using Databases in your web applications? MySQL is now included in the xTools for Windows Server Edition.
xTools Server Edition also includes all the tools and Programs that xTools Basic Edition includes. Infact, the Basic Edition serves as the foundation for xTools.
